Happy birthday, and thanks for a lovely belated birthday gift ( mine as earlier this month). I'm sorry you're struggling with CFS. It is difficult. But I hope your day was blessed, none-the-less.
It really was, my whole weekend has been quite enjoyable and although busier than usual. There is a certain lack of pressure when others do things for you and it's not so much expected to have to pitch in and return the favour.
The little things, they add up giving me more time to relax, think and write.
Happy birthday Conway -- you've give us all a wonderful birthday present with this beautiful post. Thank you so much, and keep on writing, following your Muse.
Those poems fucking rock.
Thankyou
I put my soul into writing them so your compliment is greatly appreciated.
Happy Belated Birthday! I really enjoyed reading this. Worked as an EMT many years ago and now a disgruntled RN. Thank you!
I am really glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Before Covid I was already losing my faith in allopathic medicine.
Especially within the realms of management of chronic disease.
I still think EMTs and paramedics for example do a lot of good.
But never have I been so outraged with the carelessness, tunnel vision and ignorance as this episode has caused me to feel
Happy Birthday! So, it's your b'day and you're gifting us poetry? Thank you kindly.
I like showing my work off.
It's what I felt like doing with my morning.
Thank you.
Although it was to make a point too. Or a few of them really.
I stand behind my words.
But am always open to any other interpretations or perspectives.
Sometimes I just enjoy learning for learning sake.

Your post, for which I am grateful, led me to this recent video.

Oh wow.
Thank you for sharing I thought I might be the only mad man out there blowing that trumpet
You're not alone. There is a perceived 'good' side to this technology...on mice.
Unfortunately, the downside is higher for nefarious users.
I"m in the middle of this...

Unfortunately, I have come to realize how much I rely on those morons to do things like, fix roads, grow food, keep services running etcetera.
The ship goes down
The rats go with it
Including quite possibly
This one.
But... I'm not going to drown myself just because they decided to.
Let us see where this nail biting saga goes as we are forced to keep turning the pages.
I hope I am reading this wrong and that you are not calling (hard)working people "morons".
Wishing you a nice B'day.
I'm not. Well, not really.
In a toolbox every tool has a different job.
The hammer hits in nails and can rip them out again.
The saw cuts the timber.
The screwdriver inserts or removes screws.
And the spirit level tells us when something is horizontal or flat.
If we are all judged by our ability to hammer a nail, three out of the four would surely fail.
They would be 'morons'
But that all changes when we need to cut a large beam then suddenly we find ourselves in quite a different situation.
People are just like that.
Different environments, different expertise, different experiences.
It's unfair to say one is better than another.
Or call anyone a moron
