There are a lot of different diets and nutritional plans available. From vegetarian/vegan, ethnic based models like the Mediterranean diet, low carb, Paleo, microbiome based diets. Raw diets. Carb lover diets. Even elimination diets like FODMAP.

There is no one sized fits all model. But if there was, this colour method described above is probably the closest to it and the simplist to both understand and teach to others.

What a terrific post, thank you.

I just have to say, though, my eyes widened in disbelief to see you talking about STATINS as if they are something HELPFUL. And actually, almost ANY Pharma is a source of very serious concern to me. So I guess in a way your "marvelous misinformation" is that, a bit. Thanks for the actual good advice.

very helpful cheat sheet thanks! I am an artist so i naturally gravitate towards all the colors of the rainbow when I buy fresh fruits and vegetables. but this puts it together in simple terms. I've heard of a simple related one in regards to healing powerhouses in regards to their shape i relation to the organs: avocado for the womb, kidney beans for the kidneys, walnuts for brain health et cetera...

Hiya,

For plants sometimes the colour IS the antioxidant, so yay! In terms of the colour of cooked parts of different animals I think this is nonsense.

We also don't get infections and don't have an immune system!

The dividing into proteins, carbs and fat is also unhelpful. They are all contained in all plant cells.

And a carb from refined sugar is very different to a carb from quinoa as we know-a!

The past two years have taught me that I have nothing to teach people. No-one responds to being told what's good for them. Why are we even trying for one size to fit all? We are all experts on our own health when we listen to our souls and bodies.

Jo
